Summer 2026 cycle · View Application Timeline
Most scholarships reward the highest absolute scores. This program recognizes something different: sustained effort, measurable academic growth, and the discipline to improve over time.
This scholarship values sustained study habits and thoughtful effort, not just a final score.
Students who show real academic progress over time and take ownership of how they improve are strongest.
Awards help students as they move closer to applications, enrollment, and the next stage of their education.
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements before submitting an application.
Current high school student or approved gap-year applicant
Applicants must be enrolled in grades 9–12 or be gap-year students preparing for college entry within the next 12 months.
Minimum 8 weeks of BreakMyScore usage
Applicants must have actively used the BreakMyScore platform for at least 8 consecutive weeks before submitting an application.
Score documentation — start and end points
Applicants must provide both a starting diagnostic score and a final SAT score or verified practice score.
International applicants welcome
International applicants may apply if they meet all eligibility requirements and can provide the required documentation in English.
Parent or guardian consent if under 18
Applicants under 18 must submit a signed parent or guardian consent form. Without it, the application is considered incomplete.
No minimum GPA required. No minimum starting score. No income threshold.

Every complete application is evaluated across four published criteria with defined weights. Below is exactly what the selection committee reviews.
4 published criteria · Defined weights · Applied to all complete applications
Applications are reviewed holistically. Relevant personal, financial, or educational context may also be considered during final review.
The application process is straightforward and should take less than 30 minutes once your materials are ready.
Review the requirements above and confirm you meet the study period and documentation criteria.
Collect your starting diagnostic score and final SAT or verified BreakMyScore practice score. Both scores are required — screenshot or PDF accepted.
Be ready to confirm 8+ weeks of active BreakMyScore usage. Finalists may be asked for dashboard screenshots.
Write a 300–500 word response on how you studied, what changed in your approach, and what you learned.
Upload all materials before the deadline. Official SAT scores may be submitted separately — see the Timeline for exact dates. Late submissions are not accepted.

This scholarship operates under four principles that apply to every application, every cycle.
All applications are reviewed using the same stated selection framework. The weighting for each criterion is public and applied consistently across all applicants.
Applicants are not asked to submit favorable reviews in order to qualify or be selected. Review submissions have no effect on application evaluation.
Any future interview, testimonial, or recipient feature is voluntary and requires separate written permission. No applicant is required to participate in any promotional activity.
Receiving this award may be meaningful to applicants, but it does not guarantee admission, financial aid, or any institutional decision from any college or university.
These principles apply to every cycle without exception.
The Summer 2026 cycle accepts applications beginning June 1. Review your eligibility, prepare your materials, and check the Application Timeline for all key dates.
We'll notify you on June 1, 2026.
